The number of notables that died in mid-2009 was incredible. Here is some footage from the "Today" Show on the deaths of actor Karl Malden (best known for his starring role in "The Streets of San Francisco" from the 70s) and politician Ted Kennedy, the last of the 3 Kennedy brothers to go.
Taped in Dec.of 1989, here is "the 80s", a great review of a fantastic decade. Hosted by Tom Brokaw and Jane Pauley, this show covers the major news stories, politics, fads and fashions, sports, and more. Taped from WKYC-TV3, Cleveland.
From Sept. 17, 2000, here is a wonderful special called "The 70s: The Decade that Changed Televisiion," a retrospective about TV in the 70s and its impact on the industry. Here is an in-depth look at my video room right before I moved to Las Vegas, in April of 1994 Shot in Super VHS. (This room was originally all brick walls; my dad and I put up drywall, and eventually I learned how to wallpaper.)
I had forgotten where this video was, but finally found it!! Here is part 1 of 2 of a camera tour of my beautiful 1988 Olds Toronado! This car replaced my 1986 Caddie Fleetwood that had too many problems!!! I replaced this Toronado in 2005 with an '88 Pontiac Bonneville, when I realized that a 4-door car is more practical than a 2-door. This video was shot with my Canon A-1 Digital hi-8 camcorder, in April of 1993.
From March 13, 1993, here is a video of my 1986 Fleetwood, stuck in the deep snow in my driveway at my home in Mayfield Hts., Ohio! I eventually got it moving after some serious shoveling! This was shot with my Canon A-1 Digital Hi-8 camcorder.
From March 10, 1993, here is a short camera video that I shot outside of my house in Mayfield Hts. (a Cleveland suburb) showing some heavy snow! This was part of a video that I had sent to my friend Kerry in Orlando. The next video will show my 1986 Caddie stuck in my driveway, due to the heavy snow, 3 days later! That was one hell of a March!!!!
Here is Len "Boom Boom" Goldberg voicing a radio commercial for the Waterworks, a waterbed store that was in Cleveland in the 1970s. This is from January, 1978, and was provided by my sister Pat, who produced the commercial! The pic of Len came from a WMMS "video aircheck" from 1985.
Here is a widescreen trailer for "Colossus, the Forbin Project," a great sci-fi film from 1968, taken from a Laserdisc copy of the film. Oddly enough, this movie was released in letterbox ONLY on laserdisc, the DVD copy is full-screen and panned-and-scanned!
