Ein Tag im Hannover - Erlebniszoo im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Der Film zeigt nur einen kleinen Ausschnitt einer der schönsten Zooanlagen in Deutschland. Noch nie habe ich eine so schöne Anlage und so viele Tiere in Bewegung gesehen wir hier.

2010 war ich nach Jahren wieder im Zoo. Auch hier werden die Tiere immer mehr in großen Freigehegen gehalten. Die Hintergrundmusik ist zunächst entspannend. Danach kommt die Hymne zum 20 jährigen Tag der Deutschen Einheit.Viel Spass wünscht: R. Jalowietzki

Dog-Walk – zu deutsch Hundespaziergang – was sich dahinter verbirgt, wollten wir natürlich erkunden. Und so begaben wir uns mit der Kamera in Richtung Mückenwirt und Salbker See.

Spotting a shark is most surfers' cue to exit the water but Chuck Patterson captured footage of two Great Whites circling his board after paddling out to film them. Within a matter of minutes, the Californian found himself surrounded by a pair of Great White Sharks and caught them on video swimming just feet away from him. At one point during his 15-minute encounter, the bigger of the two creatures â€" a 9ft shark â€" even slapped his tail on Mr Patterson's surfboard. Mr Patterson, from Dana Point, California, said: "The day before I shot this video, I was stand-up paddling surfing with a couple friends and two sharks circled us for about 15 minutes. "The next day, I decided to go back out at around the same time and take my camera mounted on a 10ft pole and do some exploring. "Sure enough within five minutes a 9ft shark came out of nowhere and circled twice and slapped his tail on my board before disappearing. Then a minute later a 7ft young juvenile Great White swam circles around me for 12 minutes."

White tigers are rare and can't survive in the wild.Rare white tigers have become the highlight at a German zoo which presented its latest four additions to the public on Tuesday.The two-week old cubs were born at the Serengeti Park in Hodenhagen which now owns a total of eleven white tigers. [Christiana Hensel, Veterinarian, Serengeti Zoo]:"It's always something special if our rare animals have babies and it's something wonderful for me too, every time again. They are so cute that I'm not just the professional, the veterinarian but I also take a personal interest in them and that they're doing well." White tigers cannot survive in the wild.[Christiana Hensel, Veterinarian, Serengeti Zoo]:"These White tigers are very rare because they can't really survive in the wild. White tigers do exist. It's actually a color mutation of the conventional tiger color. But because of their color the tigers don’t reach maturity and the age of reproduction because it’s color is totally inappropriate as a camouflage." The tigers' white color makes them so obviously visible that their prey spots the enemy long before it can attack. Sources say less than 250 white tigers exist worldwide.
