No, not the awesome Joss Whedon television show that was unfortunately cancelled because it was actually good, Fire Fly is one of the most terrible video games ever created. Fly a Firefly around a screen flanked by static and flowers. Shoot things with awful, terrible, mind bogglingly slow gunfire and "save" fairies (which killed me every time I saved them). It can be played with the Atari 2600 ProLine trackball but that makes it even worse. Although Classic Game Room is not one to needlessly beat up on old games, Fire Fly is an example of what caused the video game market to crash in 1983 and 1984. Too many games were released without real inspiration or creative gameplay to set them apart from the masses. Firefly is a complete mess and should be avoided at all costs.
