After the 1st movie released in 2009, The MTN Diaries saga is back. Graffiti is still on the menu, but no halls of fame and no galleries this time... Nothing but sweat, rails, chases and raw action. One word says it all: Hardcore! Part 1. aka 'Hardcore 2012' takes you on a trip through Paris (France), Malmö (Sweden) and Amsterdam (Holland). Watch it here: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/k5qDtNsnkyC3Yk3YXWy Part 2. aka 'Hardcore 2013' continues with some subway and train missions in Athens (Greece) and Milan (Italy). The journey ends up in the streets of Paris once again, for a typical day with the PAL crew who take us on a visit of Paris' Chinatown... after the classic café-croissant.

My name is Dan Olgivie but you can call me Earthmouth because I give voice to the voiceless like plants and rocks and clouds in the world of social media so I am the mouth of the Earth on Twitter and I do this because the Earth should be a part of the conversation like let’s say you’re walking along and you stub your toe on a rock and then you tweet “Damn stubbed toe on rock lol” and I hate to put words in a rock’s mouth, but @rock might tweet back “Just got kicked in the rock face by a fat pink blob lmro” (laugh my rock off) or lets say you see a cloud and you tweet “Just saw a cloud. Looks like a whale” well @cloud might tweet “You look like a piece of shit. So what?” #cloudtalk so why not go talk to a fern.

This experimental short film by Norman McLaren is a playful exercise in intermittent animation and spasmodic imagery. Playing with the laws relating to persistence of vision and after-image on the retina of the eye, McLaren engraves pictures on blank film creating vivid, percussive effects.
One of the liveliest traditions in the Canadian mosaic is that of Cape Breton music. It's origins go back to the Celtic peoples of Europe more than 3000 years ago. In Celtic Spirits, two Cape Breton musicians visit Ireland and Scotland and try to find their Celtic musical roots. We also have an intimate look at contemporary life in Cape Breton.
http://nfb.caThis lighthearted, animated short is based on the song "The Log Driver's Waltz" by Wade Hemsworth. Easily one of the most often-requested films in the NFB collection, Kate and Anna McGarrigle sing along to the tale of a young girl who loves to dance and chooses to marry a log driver over his more well-to-do competitor. Driving logs down the river has made the young man the best dancing partner to be found.

Each day, we are surrounded by seemingly insignificant objects, taking them from one place to the other, or leaving them on a table for weeks, without paying any attention to them. We ignore or forget them, using things only when we need to, making sure they don’t interfere or inhabit our space. But what if they were not so stable and subservient? What if they could swivel, bounce or even fly. And what if they did so all at the same time? We want to imagine a place where objects could live and move, harmoniously, and of their own accord. Without interfering with each other these objects would bounce, roll, turn and cross each other’s paths. This experiment is about re-discovering our daily surroundings. This is the making of the interactive video that was originally made for If You Could Collaborate exhibition. Each object is assigned to a letter on the keyboard, and can be activated or deactivated at any time.
