filmmaker / teacher/ media educator
Since his graduation from the Physics Department of Ioannina, Greece, Damianos Voganatsis has been working as a teacher and facilitator with children of all ages, teaching mainly Physics and Environmental Education. During that time he also attended workshops in Cinema and Folk Fairy Tale Narration. For 2.5 years he was a (founding) member of a voluntary theatrical group, which aimed at raising childrens' awareness in environmental issues. From 2008-2010, being an IKY scholarship student, he studied Film Production at the University for the Creative Arts in Surrey (UK). Since 2009, he started working as Media Educator at media educational workshops for children, youth & teachers.
His films “Metaxourgio” & “Gobolino” have been awarded at the festivals: of National Short Film festival of Drama, Hellenic Documentary Festival of Chalkida & Athens International Digital Film Festival PLATFORMA.
