Gregory Torrillo

Gregory Torrillo began his career in post-production at Tapestry Films in 2005. At Tapestry, he worked on feature films "Rescue Dawn" starring Cristian Bale, "You Kill Me" starring Ben Kingsley, Tea Leoni, and Luke Wilson, and "Van Wilder 2" starring Kal Penn. In 2008, Gregory produced his first feature film, Underwriting Love. A romantic comedy about the true cost of love, written and directed by Jeremy Hain. Gregory also served as the film's editor. In 2009, Gregory Torrillo started the production company Sweet Edge Films, and recently wrote, produced, directed, and edited the short film, "Adoration." Recently, Sweet Edge Films has completed the short film "Letter from Lorca," directed by Gregory Torrillo and written by Charles Musser, where it has garnered many accolades including 'Best in Show' - July 2011 from Microfilmmaker Magazine, Editor's Top Pick from Openfilm.com, and has been ranked #26 out of 728 films on IMDB's Most Popular Biography Short Film List. FilmThreat.com gave the film 4 stars and wrote, "If Gregory Torrillo ever did a feature-length biopic of Lorca, I'd be there to watch." Microfilmmaker Magazine wrote, "Beautiful film. I look forward to seeing future films by Gregory Torrillo." 'Lorca' has just finished a successful festival run screening at top festivals including Hollywood Film Festival, Raindance Film Festival in London, NewFilmmakers Los Angeles, and Tampa Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. Sweet Edge Films currently has numerous projects in various stages of development.
