ROBBY REIS

Robby Reis is a Montreal based filmmaker who’s art practice also consist of photography & painting. After completing a BFA in film production at Concordia University he wrote, directed and shot several films including Fairweather (2006), Feeding The Raging Heart (2007), Beyond the Valley (2008) and Tell Me This is Right (2008). His films merge basic documentary film techniques with storytelling methods typical of scripted films in order to create a visual aesthetic which challenges the viewer to discern between truth and fiction. In 2006, he co-founded the production company Natali Film and he is currently developing his next film, Suha which documents the life of an androgynous female graffiti artist living and producing in Montreal’s male dominated graffiti sub-culture.
