John Wallage

I grew up in the motoring press industry. When I was 8 years old my Father gave me a cine camera. I was enthralled, not just with the film process but in the editing process. Later I upgraded to a VHS video camera, which made the editing process easier. I studied fine art and editorial photography at the Kent Institute of Art and Design and was expected to follow in my parents footsteps but my work was always being compared to my parents work so I found it really hard to progress.
I became a computer engineer but film making was always in my heart.
I helped an independent film maker with one of his films and I have a YouTube channel as well as Dailymotion where I air my short films. I am also a member of the BBC Film Makers Network.
