@EastEndFilmFestival
East End Film Festival showcases hot new talent and homegrown films alongside larger independent releases and special events, informing and inspiring a new generation of filmmakers and audiences from across London and beyond, and raising the profile of this vibrant and diverse area - London’s East End.

The East End Film Festival has been developing its support for film exhibition and filmmaking since its inception in 2001. It began in Tower Hamlets, later joined with Newham and Hackney boroughs and the Lee Valley Park Authority. The festival utilises established skills and input from the local filmmaking community to produce the biggest and best film festival that East London has ever seen.

The East End Film Festival 2009 is taking place from 23rd - 30th April 2009 and it is running across eleven East End venues. The programme includes premieres, over 150 short and feature films, Q&As, panels, parties, 3D cinema, live music, free outdoor screenings and more than 30 special events.

The festival is fast establishing itself as the UK's leading showcase for international first features. For full programme and more information go to: www.eastendfilmfestival.com
