Doug Battista, Jenny Craig’s Vice President of Human Resources, is a business leader with a long and focused career. As far back as high school, Doug Battista knew that he wanted to work with people and so after graduation, enrolled at Niagara University where he obtained a BS in Travel Tourism and Hospitality Administration. As his interest in business intensified, Doug Battista continued his education at the University of Hartford, earning his Masters in Organizational Behavior and thus setting into motion events that would lead this East Coast native to relocate to California.

In 1994, while working on his graduate degree, Doug Battista began his first management job as the Director of Food Service and Catering for the ARAMARK Corporation in Hartford, Connecticut, a company that would prove important to Doug Battista over the next 12 years. In 2000, he accepted a position as the HR Manager with the Walt Disney Company in Burbank, California, where Doug Battista gained valuable real-world experience supporting a staff of nearly 300 individuals.

Returning to ARAMARK as the Human Resources Director for the Corporate Headquarters of the Uniform Service Division, Doug Battista diversified ARAMARK’s employee roster by increasing female and minority leadership roles. As well, Doug Battista implemented programs that significantly decreased management-level employee turnover; Sales Manager positions saw the greatest improvement with a retention rate that was 36% higher during his time with the division.
