American Vanadium Corp. ("AVC") is a mining and exploration company currently developing its Nevada-based Gibellini Project. Vanadium is a critical alloying metal used to strengthen steel. Additionally, it is growing in importance with emerging uses of mass energy storage and next generation lithium-vanadium batteries. AVC's Gibellini Project is unique in its ability to have economic production of vanadium for the steel and alloying industries, as well as electrolyte for the mass storage industry. A positive Feasibility Study and updated NI 43-101 on the Gibellini Project have been completed by AMEC E&C Services, Inc. in 2011.
